Are you up for a challenge this week?

It is feasible that you might already live your life doing this daily which is wonderful if you do!  If so, thanks for the great example with the way you live your life.

But then again, maybe you need this challenge.

Read on and see which category you fall into…..

You can find the GOOD in everyone!

Don’t we all know those people, who hopefully are not ourselves, that find the negative in others, never saying anything positive about others?

You can find the GOOD in everyone!

This topic came up recently when I was visiting with a friend of mine. If my memory serves me well, I believe we were talking about the differences in children, even though they grow up in the same environment and with the same parents.

Isn’t it strange to think that somehow God wired us all differently?  No two people are exactly the same. Isn’t that what makes the world go round?

You can find the GOOD in everyone!

Think about that statement in view of the people God has put in your path.

Isn’t that a great way to look at all the people you interact with daily?…..Looking for the GOOD and positive in them?

You can find the GOOD in everyone!

Yes, what a great way to live!

What a great perspective to focus on!

Sometimes I think to live like that, maybe we need to be open to changing our perspective about people.

Maybe give someone the benefit of the doubt?

If we see ourselves slipping toward finding fault with someone or dwelling on the negative we see in that person, may the Lord lead us to focus on the GOOD and positive of the person instead.

You can find the GOOD in everyone!

What would the world look like if we all tried to do this with all of our interactions?

–People might feel respected and understood

–We wouldn’t be so quick to judge others

–The world might be more peaceful

–Our own lives would be full of love and peace

You can find the GOOD in everyone!

Isn’t that how the Lord looks at us?  Doesn’t He see the GOOD and best in us?  Isn’t that why He gave His life for us? Because of the GOOD He sees in us and His great LOVE for us?

Let us be encouraged to share that GOOD and LOVE with all we meet….

You can find the GOOD in everyone!

So, yes, I’m sure you have figured out by now your challenge this week–

Focus on finding the GOOD in everyone you meet!

It would be wonderful to know if you already live your life doing this daily.

If so, I would love to hear from you with any suggestions or thoughts you have.  Please feel free to leave a comment below to help encourage others too.

If you are willing to take the challenge, maybe stop back here in a few days and let me know how successful you have been, how it has changed you, and if it is making your world a little brighter.  Just use the comment section below.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.  Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.  –Ephesians 4:29-32  (NIV)

  1. I am not totally sure if I was the “friend” you were referring to – but I know this topic has come up a few times in our conversations! But of ALL days that I needed to hear this message – THIS was the day 🙂 I had a bad morning with my teenage son and plan to start anew with a positive and encouraging attitude when he comes home. Thank you Christine for this post and THANK YOU GOD for your perfect timing!
