SHARE THE PAIN

Each day we encounter people who are hurting deeply, struggling to find their way; dealing with pain in some fashion.

In fact, I think it is safe to say that we all experience pain or some type of heartache at different times in our life. None of us are exempt.

The pain can be any number of things running the gamut from physical to emotional or even mental pain. We might not “see” the pain, but if we truly listen to people with both our ears and heart then we might be able to learn more about their pain and understand what they are experiencing.

Do you find that sometimes it just helps to share your pain with another? Sometimes doesn’t it just get to be too much to keep it to yourself even though you know God is helping you through? Some human interaction sharing your pain just might help you; someone showing a little compassion and understanding for what you are going through.

How often do you take the time to feel someone’s pain and try to understand what they are going through?

Are you too focused on your own troubles to be aware of or concerned with someone else’s struggles?

Do you think that just because you are not in their situation that you cannot help them?

                                                        ********

Just lending an ear, or sharing some of your life’s experiences may be just the thing the person needs to help them bear the pain.

Your caring about someone else’s pain might just be the difference between life and death for them.

Try to be more aware of others, and do what you can to help another through their pain.

I happened to see this encouraging truth via Spiritual Inspiration that I think is important to remember.

“When God puts love and compassion on your heart toward someone, He’s offering you an opportunity to make a difference in that person’s life.

You must learn to follow that love.

Don’t ignore it.

Act on it.

Somebody needs what you have.”

Can you think of a time when you experienced a type of pain and someone helped you through the pain? Would you be willing to share in the comment section below a little about that? What did someone do that helped you? It will be a great learning opportunity for us so we might be better equipped to help another through their pain.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. –2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)

  1. So true! I think pain is also an equalizer. No matter who you are or what your status is, we all have our fair share of pain.

We need to be more sensitive and kind to one another.

    1. Amen, Lux! Being sensitive and kind to others is a wonderful way to live…It reminds me of what Jesus was like on this earth too. Thanks for reading and blessing!

  2. To be sure we can not resolve, but we can sure help cope just by being present and listening. Many have helped me make it through another day just by being and praying with me.

    1. You are so right, Mr. Pedroza..being present, listening, praying..all things that make such a difference for someone going through difficult times. God is good sending those special people into our lives. 🙂 Blessings to you!!
