YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL…….

Yes, that means, YOU, the one reading these words!

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL….

Let those words sink into your heart and mind.

Do you know who thinks you are most beautiful?

God, your Father, the One who thought of you and created YOU and formed you in your mother’s womb.  His view of you is the only one that counts!

He has you alive to fulfill His design for you.

LETTING GO

Letting go can be a difficult task for most of us I believe.
Have you ever thought about that we are not alone in our letting go?

What are some common things we might have to let go of?

–The security of our familiar surroundings if a job relocates us

–Our good health when suddenly an unexpected crisis occurs

–The close proximity of a child who moves half way across the world

–A relationship that can not be reconciled

–A person whom we love dearly passes from this life

–When the direction of your life might not line up with God’s way

OFFERING

Take a few minutes to think about your favorite song and who sings it.

What does the song remind you of?

Why does it hold such special meaning for you?

Be prepared, as I might just ask you these same questions at the end so you can share too!  😉

I know you are sitting there, reading this and wondering what could be Christine’s favorite song and artist? Well, you might actually know.  That is, if you have paid close attention to some of my prior writings!  😉

Yes, my favorite song is…

Offering by Third Day

Did you get it right?

A TIME OF REFRESHMENT

What constitutes a time of refreshment for you?

For me, this past Thursday-Sunday provided me with my personal definition of a time of refreshment.

–Time at a peaceful, beautiful holy place on a lake
–A peaceful, scenic drive soaking in God’s wondrous creation

–Walking outside to see the lake and the sun
–A simple room with just a bed & small desk/chair/sink
–No other place to go
–No other commitments or activities to do
–No other outside people vying for my attention
–Quiet time alone
–Serving others in Christ
–Loving others as God does Continue reading “A TIME OF REFRESHMENT”

JUST BE HELD

Where your passion meets your compassion there is your gift.

This past week I believe one of my passions met not only my compassion but God’s compassion too. I sensed His presence.

I marvel at God’s orchestrating people and circumstances in our lives. As I’m sure you know by now one of my passions is to hold babies and love on them. There’s just something so sweet and precious about snuggling with this loving, innocent creation that God formed. Continue reading “JUST BE HELD”

IMPACTING OTHERS

Do you ever think that your life doesn’t really have an impact on others?
Do you ever think that your life is not that important?
Do you ever think that since you are just a simple, ordinary person your life does not leave an imprint on others?

Hopefully your response to all of the above questions is a strong NO, but, if you are like me at all, maybe you sometimes get stuck in the trap of thinking YES to one or all of the questions. Continue reading “IMPACTING OTHERS”

ABANDONMENT

As humans on this earth, what is something we have all experienced to some degree in our lives?  I would dare say…..

ABANDONMENT

Who has “abandoned” you…whether intentional or out of one’s control?
What situations have made you feel abandoned?

SHOW THYSELF FRIENDLY

Isn’t it always a pleasant surprise when we, as adults, end up being taught some life lessons from our children or even some children we may interact with in our life?

Sometimes we even say “out of the mouth of babes” with some of the wisdom that may come out of their mouths and sometimes we can learn lessons from their actions as well. Continue reading “SHOW THYSELF FRIENDLY”

SIMPLE ACTS

Have you ever noticed that a simple act which may appear so “small” to you can be so “big” to someone else?

In other words, we never know when the smallest act of kindness can have the biggest impact in someone else’s life.

IN THE SILENCE

The first day of school this year for my youngest son started with him in the middle of a shower when suddenly the power went out quite unexpectedly!  I guess kind of fortunately, he didn’t have shampoo in his hair when that happened; instead it had to be a “no shampoo” day for him!  Our house has a well for water, not city water, so when the power goes out we do not really have water either! Not the best way to start the school year but it ended up much better than six years ago when our area experienced a flood that afternoon and was without electricity for 5 days. This time it was only a few hours. Continue reading “IN THE SILENCE”
