ONE WEEK or ONE WEAK

One week or one weak?

Are you a little confused by that question?

An interesting question, is it not?

Let me explain what I mean with the main idea of these thoughts this week coming from a church bulletin that was shared with me.

I thought it was indeed something worth pondering though maybe a slight stretch with the names of the week; a little different way of looking at your week.

May it remind you of the importance and privilege that we have walking with God each and every day!

Imagine for just a few moments what a week without God with us would look like….

Without God, our week, maybe, just maybe, would look something like this~~

SINDAY–You might be tempted to fall into sin more easily not knowing right from wrong or good from evil.

MOURNDAY–You would be mourning because you are missing the moments, the opportunities to spread God’s love to others.

TEARSDAY–You might be brought to tears without knowing how much God loves you, is always with and within you.

WASTEDAY–Your day would be wasted by not furthering the Kingdom of God.

THIRSTDAY–You would have an unquenchable thirst because you are missing the Lord’s Presence; His righteousness in your daily life.

FIGHTDAY–You would not be able to withstand the enemy’s attacks though you are fighting all day.

SHATTERDAY–Your day and everything that you try to do is shattering and falling apart because you are not whole.

If, each week, we walk with God, remembering that He is always with us, our week will look more like this…

SUNDAY–You will better be able to flee from sin!  You have the “SON” within you!

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  –James 4:7 (ESV)

MONDAY–Your mourning will turn to dancing and joy because God is with you!

You have turned my mourning into dancing; you took off my sackcloth and clothed me with a garment of joy.  –Psalms 30:11  (ISV)

TUESDAY–Your tears will be tears of joy!

Tears of joy will stream down their faces, and I will lead them home with great care. They will walk beside quiet streams and on smooth paths where they will not stumble. For I am Israel’s father, and Ephraim is my oldest child.  –Jeremiah 31:9  (NLT)

WEDNESDAY–Your day will not be wasted; you will be fruitful with fulfilling God’s plan and purpose for your life!

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.  –Proverbs 19:21  (NIV)

Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.  –Colossians 1:10  (NLT)

THURSDAY–Instead of an unquenchable thirst, Jesus will satisfy that thirst with His living water; His righteousness!

Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again.   But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”  –John 4:13-14  (NLT)

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.  –Matthew 5:6  (NIV)

FRIDAY–Putting on God’s armor is the only way to fight our daily battles. You are victorious with Him!

Finally, let the mighty strength of the Lord make you strong.   Put on all the armor that God gives, so you can defend yourself against the devil’s tricks.  –Ephesians 6:10-11  (CEV)

SATURDAY–You are made whole with God~~Body, mind, and spirit are one with Him!

I pray that God, who gives peace, will make you completely holy. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept healthy and faultless until our Lord Jesus Christ returns. –1 Thessalonians 5:23  (CEV)

Do not be WEAK this week but be encouraged this WEEK to walk with the Lord…
…knowing He is with you and in you every day, every moment!

Keep your eyes and mind on Him!

Finally, let the mighty strength of the Lord make you strong.   –Ephesians 6:10  (CEV)

Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right side of God’s throne.  –Hebrews 12:2  (GNT)

Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God–what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.   –Romans 12:2  (GNT)
